I spent time in the library. I was specifically on the second floor in the computer section. Just to remind you in case you forget, when you reach the top of the second floor, you make a right and go all the way to the wall at the other end. There are desks with computers, two in a row. On one side of the computers is a wall or window, and on the other there is a stack of books. You pass a room where the printer is when you’re on your way to the computers. The students that are in the printer room really don’t talk to one another. They pick their papers up and walk away. The students in the computer section don’t talk either; they just sit and do their work. This shows that students are there strictly to do work and not socialize while doing work. I did happen to notice that at least one person in every row was on Facebook while they were there. I suppose some people were maybe contacting family or friends. But I did notice a lot of people just searching through pictures and other peoples profiles. This can suggest that even though people are supposed to be working, they still can't focus on their work unless they are checking Facebook. Meaning this virtual way of communicating cannot be put off for an hour or so.
